Many of us think about how often to wash down pillows, but many of us also do not realize that it is important to wash down pillows. Many of us may believe that if they are the softest and most comfortable they will not need to be washed. However, you should think about how many times a week you need to take care of them.

If you have multiple ones, then they will certainly be more convenient and much less time consuming for you to wash than just one. If you have a child or two, you can definitely get through all of them before you will be done with the kids. Therefore, you should consider how often you will need to wash down pillows before you are too tired.

You should start with using a warmer temperature in order to allow the down to absorb into the water. This will cause them to dry faster. However, if you have done it before you will know that this does not mean it needs to be done all the time.

If you find that the down pillow you are trying to dry off does not dry properly, try switching the settings on your drier to the warm setting. You will want to continue to use adryer at night when you do not have other children around to worry about. However, you do not want to leave it on all day. It may cause it to overheat.

Too many people believe that a cooler setting will help them keep it nice and toasty all day. This will not help you dry them down as much. If you want to eliminate the amount of work that you will be doing in order to wash down your down pillows, you will want to switch it to the cooler setting.

If you cannot tell the difference, then it is time to wash them down. Take them out of the dryer and set the settings on the dryer on the cool setting. You will want to be sure that you place them inside your dryer for the maximum amount of time.

If they need to dry down for a small time frame, then you may want to put them in the dryer for one more round. Do not let them sit for a very long time, however. This is the last thing you want, so you will want to be sure that you follow this rule if you find that they are not being taken care of properly.

Always want to use warm water to help make the down and foam easier to remove from the pillows. You will also want to consider using a hot iron to help you get rid of the grime that may accumulate on the inside of the pillow. As you can see, you do not want to let down pillows to sit for an extended period of time.
